Unlocking New Vision with LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®: A Journey with Arity

by Brianna Sylver

At Sylver Consulting, we thrive on partnering with forward-thinking, growth-oriented organizations.

Our mission is to empower leaders to courageously embrace change and future-proof their offerings. To do that effectively, we often need to get creative on how to support our clients to “break their own internal scripts” — often easier said than done.

Recently, we embarked on a transformative journey with one of our esteemed clients, Arity. Founded by Allstate Corporation in 2016, Arity is a mobility data and analytics company focused on improving transportation. They collect and analyze enormous amounts of data, using predictive analytics to build solutions with a single goal in mind: to make transportation smarter, safer and more useful for everyone.

Arity's Senior Leadership Team (SLT) approached Sylver with the following ask:

Please help us move from the Red Ocean of telematics into a Blue Ocean.

For those not familiar with Blue Ocean Strategy...

A Red Ocean is the known market space, where companies try to outcompete competitors to establish a greater share of the existing market.

A Blue Ocean is the unknown, uncontested market space – ultimately creating new demand in a new market.

To break out of the Red Ocean and discover their Blue Ocean potential, Arity embarked on a journey, which is described in a blog post that summarizes both the process designed by Sylver and the resulting insights which will help Arity adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing world.
