Key Innovation Research and Strategy Personnel
BRIANNA SYLVER, President
 Brianna Sylver, writer, researcher, and entrepreneur, founded Sylver Consulting in 2003 to better serve organizations in the business-to-business and to business-to-consumer sectors. Since then, several multinational companies have benefited from her ability to assimilate and interpret the aspirational and functional needs of their customers into actionable guidelines that resulted in new products, new services and/or new business.
Organizations like Marriott International, GE Medical, ABN AMRO Bank, Bosch, Paslode, Motorola and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) use Sylver for her unique application of innovation methodologies and consumer research techniques.
Brianna has published articles in magazines, such as BusinessWeek online andCore77 and presented work in conferences and workshops in the U.S and Europe on topics related to innovation and the use of qualitative research, with a special focus on Design Ethnography. She recently received an award of appreciation from the Product Development & Management Association (PDMA) for her contribution to innovation processes.
Brianna is an adjunct faculty member at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), in Chicago, where she teaches courses on human-centered communication design, early prototyping, and persona-driven system development. She also created the first American conference that brought together diverse disciplines to debate on methodologies of consumer research as they apply to the innovation process.
Brianna has a BFA in Communication Design from University of Buffalo and a Masters in Human-centered Communication Design from the Institute of Design at IIT.
ADRIANO GALVAO, Vice President
 Since 1995, Adriano Galvao has helped companies like Motorola-US, Dentsu-Japan, BrasilTelecom, BestBuy, Marriott International, Paslode, Bosch Power Tools, and CGEE (Brazil) in their global effort to develop new products and prospect new business opportunities.
As Vice-President of Sylver Consulting, Adriano plans, coordinates and executes consumer research projects. His international experience, fluency in the Portuguese language and general business experience is an important part of Sylver's new Brazilian office.
While working as an adjunct faculty member at the Institute of Design (IIT, Chicago) and an associate researcher of the Tangible Knowledge Research Group, Adriano presented work at several international conferences and published his book
DESIGN RELATIONSHIPS.

Adriano received his doctorate in Design Theory and Methodology from IIT, and was recognized as an Honored Researcher after receiving the prestigious Xerox Award for his contribution to the Engineering Design Process.
ANDREA CAMARA, Communications Specialist
 Andrea Camara is a public relations professional. Since 1989, she has combined a passion for communications and language with an intuitive understanding of methods that allow clients to make the connections necessary to achieve their professional goals. Andrea has worked closely with a diverse international clientele, helping them to not only communicate in English and Brazilian Portuguese but more importantly, appreciate the intricate cultural differences between their countries. Organizations such as The New York Times, Lions Clubs International, United Airlines, Gartner (US), Blue Star Mobile (UK), Embratel, Petrobras, Bradesco, White Martins/Praxair (Brazil), Ruukki (Finland) have benefitted from her linguistic and cross-cultural expertise.
As a language specialist Andrea has written specialized materials in English and Portuguese, worked as a dialect coach and collaborated with a novelist to authentically represent aspects of Brazil's linguistic and cultural heritage for American readers.
While working with Peak Metals Inc, an agent of Finnish company Rautaruukki in the US, Canada, Mexico and Brazil, she has gained valuable experience interacting directly with companies to facilitate business negotiations and smooth logistical problems.
As a communications specialist at Sylver Consulting, Andrea has been a key contributor to the relaunch of the firm's website and marketing position. Particularly, she has made important contributions to the development of Sylver's efforts to enter the Brazilian market. Andrea has a Bachelor Degree in Public Relations from Faculdades Integradas Helio Alonso (FACHA) in Rio de Janeiro and a Certificate of Proficiency in English from The University of Michigan.
